"The ideas put forth in WHAT IS YOUR TRAUMA? and FOR WHEN THINGS GO WRONG will be both beneficial and educational to people receiving mental health services and people providing mental health services.  In addition, people not associated with the mental health field will benefit greatly from the introspective guidance offered from each book".  – James J. Perspective On Psychiatric Recovery
Introduction to Recovery,
Healing and Wellness

SOMETIMES we are more fortunate, not always thinking in terms of pain and life's challenges.  Different times we battle for our lives.

WE desire healing from the pains we experience and resolution from our struggles.  We desire to be able to live our lives better.

THOSE of us who struggle the most and are overwhelmed with the extremes of what life offers often become outsiders.  We feel alone and misunderstood without hope and direction.  We seek help but are confounded by the complications imposed upon us with the prospect of help.

HOW do we unravel this dilemma?  In order to fully engage in the discovery of healing and wellness, this book was written to demystify the term "recovery" so to rediscover the power to become whole.

WHEN sharing about what works for us, we discovered that people needed the fundamental understanding reflected in this book before other topics could be successfully approached.  Each aspect of these writings was developed by people wishing to improve their lives and requested because of the gaps in information and services.

OUR perspectives come from the gnawing need of wanting to improve our own lives and the lives of others as well as our universal desire to find meaning.  Our skills come from creating options that work for us and seeing others improve their own lives.  We hope our years of experience in healing ourselves and of listening to others will accompany you on your journey.

THIS book, PERSPECTIVE ON PSYCHIATRIC RECOVERY: Introduction to Recovery, Healing and Wellness, opens helpful and necessary sensitivity.  Our theory and practice suggests that a different perspective on recovery is necessary to change one's paradigm and open the doors to healing and wellness.  This book is designed to give a new perspective on recovery.

COME and take this journey with us.

'Eva’s publication is like a bible to all of us who don’t have a map to the journey we are on. It is essential for us to have the information and resources she has presented with its organization and little notes of inspiration". -- Francine DiGeorgio, Peer Advocate

"Though Eva’s work is specific to those who have had traumatic experiences, I have found her work applicable to anyone and everyone who has had a rough patch, a loss or just been around long enough to be part of life cycle events". -- Walter Goldman, President, GoldKap Consulting Group

PERSPECTIVE ON PSYCHIATRIC RECOVERY

Introduction to Recovery, Healing and Wellness

By Eva F. Scholle

MovementToChange, Inc.

Fourth Printing April 2013

ISBN 978-1-937096-02-1

Paperback 5.5" x 8.5"

151 pages

THIS book gives words to the experiences that you have recently been through, are struggling to overcome or have minimized, stored away, or placed on the back burner.  As you spend time with this book a hopeful process emerges.

IDENTIFYING what it is and what it truly does (i.e. the difficult patterns that you find yourself knocking up against in your life) can help with moving forward to something better.

"I opened to the first page and couldn’t put the book down. Since I don’t have trauma in my life I was thinking this book would be good for someone I know, but then I was surprised how much I learned from it for myself".  – Yocheved Pentelnik, Mother and Teacher

"WHAT IS YOUR TRAUMA? is a gentle, mindful approach to the exploration of trauma, its effects, and how one can heal. With reflection and support this book gives hope that traumatic events do not have to lead to ongoing suffering and devastation".  –- Mark Iskowitz, MA, Clinical Psychology, Yeshiva University

"Eva F. Scholle is a pioneer in her approach to trauma, simplifying treatment based on years of experience. Her book educates people in pain; to gain control, to discover healing, wellness and recovery. A ‘must-have’ for everyone".  –- Paulina Magnetti, President, NAMI Bronx Families and Advocates, Inc.

"For people in my practice for whom it is applicable, I would have them get this book, read it carefully and take the time to grasp it. For best results I would recommend they go over it with a therapist or support person".  –- Alvin Yapalater, M.D., Psychiatrist

IF for so many years the pain has settle in, been set aside, denied or avoided OR you say to yourself "It doesn't affect me", "I no longer care”,” It doesn’t matter", then this book will be useful as it creates an opening to start a new type of engagement with yourself.

TAKE PRECAUTIONS: If you are likely to experience strong reactions to subjects surrounding trauma, please take appropriate precautions by reviewing this book when you have the type of support that you might need.

For When Things Go Wrong
Empowerment Model
Pre-Advance Directive and
Self-Reflective Plan Workbook
Address Recurring Crises
And Unsuccessful Aspects
Of Your Life

LIFE’S complexities become easier to anticipate with a grounded plan uniquely yours to practice.   In 13 steps, learn how to reduce life’s undesirable difficulties.

A good process is well worth the effort and has profound rewards.  Take the time to learn the SELF-REFLECTIVE PLAN to create your own PRE-ADVANCE DIRECTIVE.

AS you seriously walk through the steps in this workbook you will be able to put into practice a new plan when things go wrong.  We call the new plan a PRE-ADVANCE DIRECTIVE, because it is there to help you avoid responding to the world in crisis mode and do things differently.

THE journey to get you there is first introduced with WHEN-THINGS-GO-WRONG EMPOWERMENT STYLE then learned through the SELF-REFLECTIVE PLAN.  While creating your own questions to answer, in MY SELF-REFLECTIVE PLAN, transformation begins to happen.

WARNING!  If by some chance one wishes for a quick route or is directed by a professional to complete the PRE-ADVANCE DIRECTIVE for treatment, without having the opportunity to learn the SELF-REFELCTIVE PLAN to create your own PRE-ADVNACE DIRECTIVE, one changes the intent of this transformative process into a linear format and results will be skewed.

"The goal is to help individuals discover what is happening in their lives and how to get the results they want".  – Danni Scher, Esq.
